Please Note: Myrna's classes on Saturday Feb. 4, 2012
will be cancelled since no Piel Canela class will run that day. 
All other dates of Myrna's classes will run as scheduled.


Wednesday Class
{Feb. 1st - 29th}
7:30pm - 8:30pm (Basic) Hustle 1

Friday Class New Day/Time/Levels {Feb. 3rd - March 2nd}
7:00pm - 8:00pm (Basic-Intermediate) Swing 1&2
(No experience needed for basic level students)

Saturday Classes {Feb. 11th - March 3rd}
5:00pm - 6:00pm - (Intermediate) Hustle 2 
(Instructors approval needed for Hustle 2.
Must have Hustle Basics to attend this class.)

6:00pm - 7:00pm - (Basic) Hustle 1  (No experience needed)

(No partner or registration required) $15 per class!

East Coast Swing (Lindy Hop)!
You don't know what you've been missing until you become a member of one of the most fascinating dance communities ever known as 
The Lindy Hoppers!
NYC's Lindy Hop dancer/instructor
Myrna Caceres will give you all the fundamental steps you need to become one of the coolest swing cats in town! You will learn Lindy Hop (East Coast Swing) incorporating Jazz Steps, Charleston as well as swing steps such as: Tuck Turns, Swing Out, Suzie Q, She Goes/He Goes, Sweet Heart, and Shorty George .
We will start off with the 6 count swing, which is used with most tempos followed by the 8 count swing. Musicality and technique will the foundation to help you become
a fabulous dancer!
If you ever wanted to learn how to dance to music ranging from 1920's Charleston
to 1950's Rock n' Roll as well as Big Band Music,  this class is for you!

Hustle:
Also known as disco is a fun and energetic partner dance which is more known for
dancing to disco music but can also be danced to modern day upbeat music!
You will learn many fun steps such as: The New York Walk, Whip Turns, Wheel,
Diva Walk among others!

Musicality and Technique will be the foundation for both classes
to help you become a fabulous dancer!

Myrna Caceres
Born and raised New Yorker, Myrna is a dancer and swing dance events producer for the NY Metropolitan area. For 5 years she has been producing swing events at the 92nd Street Y where she teaches the swing lesson before the night of dancing begins and also performed dances in swing, hustle, tap and salsa. Other dances she is trained in include theatre, jazz as well as other ballroom genres.

Myrna has performed and taught at various special events in NYC. Among her dance mentors was legendary swing dance master Frankie Manning who was among the pioneers of the Lindy Hop and also master tap instructor Chuck Kelley who is internationally acclaimed as the teacher's teacher.


Suggested
: Comfortable clothes that you can move around freely. Jazz shoes/sneakers or suede bottom shoes you can easily glide around the
dance floor.
Regular sneakers/shoes ok to start out with.

Please: No heels for swing!
Heels are ok for hustle.

Please: No loose shoes
such as sandals/slippers
for any dance classes!
